Delenda Est

The following statements are entirely and unquestionably true in my reality. If yours varies, it’s your tough luck.

1. The movie Highlander had no sequels, and there was never a television series by that name.
2. Same for The Crow.
3. Batman Begins was the first motion picture adaptation of the comic book character.
4. There have been exactly two Superman movies, Superman, and Superman Returns.
5. The Hulk was only recently made into a movie, right after Iron Man.
6. Starship Troopers is a novel by Robert A. Heinlein. It might make a good movie, but it hasn’t been made yet.
7. The best superhero/comic book movie EVER is going to be Watchmen. It will not suck. They won’t ruin it at all. Really.
8. There has never been, and never will be, a good movie based on a video game.
9. The best book-to-movie adaptation was The Hunt for Red October.  The worst was Clear and Present Danger.  Small changes good, big changes bad.  Also, see # 6.  If that movie existed, it would be the worst.
